In the past, custom porches have been screened by hand in wall–size sections on–site. This process also created future complications, making it necessary to remove the entire screen portion should a repair be necessary. Using Millwork Solutions pre–built custom screen panels has the dual advantage of quick and easy installation and repair; you only need to unscrew the stop and remove the panel that needs repair.

Aluminum balusters are available in round, which we stock, or in various "turned" styles by special order. Round balusters are available in 10 stock colors and many special order colors. As with any Millwork Solutions product, these are true custom panels, so any style or design you want can be created to give your porch a distinctive look.

Screen panels are constructed of either cedar or pine in 3' to 4' wide sections, but are also available in custom sizes to fit your application. Panels are 1" thick with widths as large as 6' and heights up to 8'. Screen sizes are limited in most cases due to the difficulty of transportation and installation. Screen panels also come standard with protective code–compliant aluminum or wood balusters spanning the bottom 3' of the panel. Aluminum balusters are available in round, which we stock, or in various "turned" styles by special order. Cedar or pine balusters are square. Stock screens are composed of charcoal–colored aluminum and fiberglass, with copper available by special order. Screen panels come unfinished and untreated, ready for you to paint or stain to match your specifications.

Custom 1-3/8" thick screen doors are also available through Millwork Solutions in many of the same options as our screen panels. Screen doors do not include hinges or door pull hardware.

If you are installing your screen panels yourself, we recommend using exterior rated galvanized screws. Screw screen stop to framing stud. As always, see your local construction codes for best practices for installing screen panels.

Screen panels and doors typically take 2-4 weeks to build depending the size of your order and complexity of the design.
