Timbers and brackets cut from green or rough stock timbers are subject to cracking and or shrinkage as they dry out. This is a natural characteristic of the product and is not considered a defect.

Flower boxes from Millwork Solutions are fully functional and offer a great way to add a splash of color to your home. What's more, when mounted underneath a window, plants or flowers may be enjoyed from both inside or outside the home.

Flower boxes come in three standard styles; tapered, rectangular and rectangular with decorative crown moulding. Standard box dimensions have a 10" depth with an 8" projection from the side of the house. The length of the flower box is determined by the width of the window or window & shutters under which they are installed.

Millwork Solutions flower boxes are made of rough or smooth, solid Western Red Cedar, glued and screwed. One inch "weep" or drain holes are pre-drilled and covered with exterior screening to allow moisture to drain properly.

Millwork Solutions also offers nine decorative bracket designs to add even more personality to your flower box. All Millwork Solutions flower boxes come with two decorative cedar-mounting brackets, which are shipped loose with the flower box. These decorative brackets can be mounted to the stud wall using exterior rated galvanized screws along with the steel hangers found on the back of the brackets which are pre-dilled holes for easy installation. The flower box can then be screwed to the decorative brackets. Additional brackets can be ordered for longer boxes. As always, consult your local building codes before securing flower boxes and brackets. Flower boxes and brackets typically take 2-4 weeks depending on the size of the order.
