Essex Custom Cabinets is owned and operated by Scherer Brothers Lumber Company, and is manufactured and sold through Scherer Brothers Cabinet Division. Essex Cabinets was created to provide professional builders, remodelers and homeowners with a completely custom cabinet line made with the highest quality standards and materials.
Essex Custom Cabinets are built by true craftsmen. All of our cabinets are built locally, complete with 1/2" back panels and 5/8" veneered end panels. Our face frames, doors and drawer fronts are solid hardwood. We also offer a medium density fiberboard (MDF) door style for a flawless, painted finish option. We use fully concealed Euro-style hinges, and full extension drawer glides. Undermount, self-closing glides are also available. Essex also offers an extensive line of decorative and functional options like wood dovetail drawers, wine racks and stemware racks, lazy susans, recycle bins, rollout trays, custom corbels, turned columns, decorative onlays, and many other options.
