In observance of the 4th of July holiday all Scherer Brother Lumber locations will be closed Friday, July 3rd.
Hopkins Yard Open Saturdays!
Saturdays from 9:00am to 1:00pm and Monday – Friday 6:30am to 5:00pm.
Hopkins Yard will be closed on Saturday July 4th and September 5th.
The Scherer Brothers Green Building and Remodeling Committee was formed in March of 2007 as a multi–disciplined committee comprised of employees from several areas of the company such as sales, marketing, and purchasing departments along with a few managers. The goals of the Green Committee are to be an educational resource for internal and external customers and to be the primary policy formulation arm for the company's energy, water, and waste reduction strategies.
The primary function of the Green Committee is to be a resource for our building and remodeling contractor customers. We hope to accomplish this through training all of our salespeople on the various components of the green building and remodeling process as well as on the programs that provide green project certification for contractors. Additionally our committee has developed a "Green-specific" website that is intended to provide contractors and homeowners with information on green building and remodeling.

This website is comprised of green focused articles, green product and service resources, and builder and remodeler green project spotlights. Please visit our new site soon and let us know what you think. The site was developed primarily for the education of our customers. It is the hope of our committee that we have accomplished just that.
